SELF-DRIVE SPEEDBOAT Overview
Forget sitting through another guided river tour — this time the stag hands over the wheel. Self-Drive Speedboat Krakow puts your group in command of a real motorboat on the Vistula, with zero licence and zero experience required.
Price shown is for one motorboat, hired for 1 hour, seating up to 5 people. We have two boats available, so larger stag groups can book both at once.
One of the lads (or the groom himself) takes the captain's seat, the rest pile in as crew, and you decide exactly where the boat goes and how fast you get there.
Launching from a private jetty, just 15 minutes on foot from Wawel Castle, the session starts with a short dockside training session - engine controls, safety rules, basic manoeuvring and followed by signing a quick set of paperwork. Once that's done, the group is fully in charge: no instructor comes on board, and your crew drives the boat yourselves for the whole session.

Each boat seats up to five, so bigger stag groups can book both boats side by side and cruise the river together, racing or just messing about along the way. Cruise past Wawel, slide under the city's bridges, and see Kraków from an angle almost no tourist ever gets - low on the water, quiet, and completely under your own control.
Alcohol is not permitted on board during the rental — this is a self-drive activity and the group is legally responsible for the boat once training and paperwork are complete, so it runs sober. It works best as a daytime energiser before the drinking-focused part of a stag itinerary — pair it with a pub crawl in Krakow or booze cruise later in the day once the group is back on dry land.
